Open Internet Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
Byhalia.net, LLC is committed to providing reliable, high-quality Internet access to its customers. This Open Internet Policy provides information regarding Byhalia.net, LLC’s network management practices, performance characteristics, and commercial terms.
Byhalia.net, LLC operates a fixed wireless broadband network serving homes, farms, businesses, and other customers throughout its service area. Because wireless networks use shared spectrum and network resources, reasonable network management may be necessary to maintain network reliability, security, and service quality.
Network Management Practices
Byhalia.net, LLC manages its network with the goal of providing customers with reliable access to lawful Internet content, applications, services, and devices.
Network management practices may be used when reasonably necessary to:
- Protect the security and integrity of the Byhalia.net network.
- Protect customers and other Internet users from malicious or harmful activity.
- Prevent or mitigate network congestion.
- Maintain reliable and efficient operation of network equipment.
- Address wireless interference or changing radio-frequency conditions.
- Prevent excessive or abusive use that negatively affects other customers.
- Respond to denial-of-service attacks, malware, botnets, spam, unauthorized access attempts, or other security threats.
- Perform maintenance, upgrades, repairs, troubleshooting, and emergency network operations.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or lawful governmental requests.
Network management practices may change as network technologies, security threats, traffic patterns, spectrum conditions, and operational requirements evolve.
Congestion Management
Byhalia.net, LLC continually monitors and manages its network to provide reliable service to customers.
Because fixed wireless Internet service utilizes shared network and radio-frequency resources, temporary congestion may occur during periods of unusually high network usage, equipment failures, interference, upstream provider problems, or other circumstances.
When necessary, Byhalia.net may use reasonable network management techniques to reduce congestion and maintain network stability and service quality.
Byhalia.net does not impose monthly data usage limits on its standard Internet service plans. However, customers may not use their service in a manner that unreasonably interferes with the network or materially degrades service for other customers.
Byhalia.net may contact a customer or take reasonable corrective action when unusually high, abnormal, automated, malicious, or abusive traffic adversely affects the network or other customers.
Application-Specific Practices
Byhalia.net does not generally block or restrict lawful Internet applications, websites, protocols, or services solely because of their content or purpose.
Byhalia.net reserves the right to block, filter, limit, or otherwise manage traffic when reasonably necessary for network security, network integrity, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or protection of customers and other Internet users.
Examples may include malicious traffic, denial-of-service attacks, known security threats, malware, botnets, spam, open mail relays, unauthorized network scanning, phishing activity, or traffic associated with compromised customer equipment.
Certain ports or protocols may also be restricted when reasonably necessary to protect the network or reduce security threats and abuse.
Servers, Applications and Network Use
Byhalia.net does not generally prohibit customers from operating lawful servers, applications, devices, or Internet-connected services for legitimate personal or business purposes, provided their use complies with the customer’s service agreement, Byhalia.net’s Acceptable Use Policy, and applicable law.
Customers may not use Byhalia.net service or network resources for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, malicious, or harmful activities.
Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Sending unsolicited bulk email or spam.
- Operating open mail relays or systems used to distribute spam.
- Phishing or fraudulent activities.
- Distributing malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious software.
- Operating or participating in botnets.
- Unauthorized access or attempted access to computers, accounts, systems, or networks.
- Port scanning, probing, or similar activity when performed without authorization or for malicious purposes.
- Denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attacks.
- Copyright infringement or unlawful distribution of copyrighted material.
- Distribution, possession, or transmission of content prohibited by applicable law.
- Operating services primarily intended to facilitate unlawful activity.
- Attempting to circumvent network security or access controls.
- Using the service in a manner that threatens the security, integrity, reliability, or availability of Byhalia.net’s network or another network.
Byhalia.net reserves the right to take reasonable measures to protect its network, customers, and other Internet users. Depending upon the circumstances, these measures may include blocking malicious traffic, restricting compromised equipment or services, contacting the affected customer, or temporarily suspending or terminating service in accordance with applicable service policies.
Device Attachment
Customers may generally connect lawful, non-harmful devices to their Internet connection, including computers, routers, smartphones, tablets, televisions, security systems, gaming systems, smart-home devices, and other Internet-capable equipment.
Customer-owned equipment must not damage, interfere with, compromise, or adversely affect the Byhalia.net network or other customers.
Byhalia.net may require a customer to disconnect, repair, replace, reconfigure, or secure equipment that is malfunctioning, compromised, generating harmful traffic, causing interference, or otherwise adversely affecting the network.
Network Security
Byhalia.net uses reasonable network-management and security practices designed to protect its network and customers.
Byhalia.net may detect, block, filter, or mitigate traffic reasonably believed to constitute a security threat or network abuse. This may include traffic associated with malware, botnets, spam, denial-of-service attacks, unauthorized access attempts, compromised devices, or other harmful activity.
Byhalia.net may temporarily restrict or suspend service when necessary to contain an active security threat or prevent damage to the network or other customers.
Customers are responsible for maintaining reasonable security of their own computers, routers, wireless networks, passwords, and other connected equipment.
Performance Characteristics
Byhalia.net provides fixed wireless broadband Internet service. Available service plans, advertised speeds, and pricing are published on the Byhalia.net Internet Service Plans page.
Advertised speeds represent the maximum or “up to” speeds associated with the selected service plan and are not guaranteed at all times.
Actual Internet performance may vary based on numerous factors, including:
- The customer’s service plan.
- Wireless signal quality.
- Distance and path conditions between network locations.
- Radio-frequency interference.
- Network congestion.
- Weather or environmental conditions.
- Customer equipment and Wi-Fi performance.
- The number of devices simultaneously using the connection.
- Internet routing and upstream network conditions.
- The performance or capacity of websites, applications, and remote servers outside the Byhalia.net network.
- Network maintenance, equipment failures, or other circumstances beyond Byhalia.net’s reasonable control.
A customer’s Wi-Fi connection inside the home or business may also affect measured speeds and is not necessarily representative of the performance of the Byhalia.net connection itself.
Specific performance information for individual service plans is provided through the applicable Broadband Consumer Label.
Service Availability
Internet service and individual service plans are subject to availability at the customer’s location.
Because Byhalia.net utilizes fixed wireless technology, service availability and achievable performance may depend upon terrain, vegetation, structures, distance, radio-frequency conditions, line-of-sight or near-line-of-sight conditions, available tower capacity, and other technical considerations.
A site survey may be required to determine whether service is available and which service plans can reliably be provided at a particular location.
Commercial Terms
Current Internet service plans, pricing, speeds, and Broadband Consumer Labels are available on the Byhalia.net Internet Service Plans page.
Byhalia.net does not impose monthly data limits on its standard Internet service plans.
Standard installation is provided without an installation fee where indicated by the applicable service offering. Installations requiring non-standard equipment, additional cabling, specialized mounting hardware, construction, or other additional work may result in additional charges. Any applicable non-standard installation charges will be reviewed with the customer before the installation or upgrade is completed.
Service prices, available plans, equipment requirements, and other commercial terms may change from time to time. Current terms applicable to a particular service offering will be provided to the customer as required.
Broadband Consumer Labels
Byhalia.net provides Broadband Consumer Labels containing information about its Internet service plans, including pricing and performance information.

Byhalia.net may monitor network traffic and technical information to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and protect its network.
Byhalia.net may disclose information when required by applicable law, legal process, court order, subpoena, or other lawful governmental request, or when otherwise permitted by law.
Emergency and Temporary Network Management
Byhalia.net may implement temporary network-management measures in response to emergencies or unusual circumstances, including equipment failures, fiber or upstream provider outages, severe interference, cyber attacks, natural disasters, power failures, network congestion, tower or infrastructure failures, or other events affecting network operation.
Such measures may remain in effect for as long as reasonably necessary to protect or restore network operation and customer service.
Changes to Network Management Practices
Internet technology, network architecture, security threats, regulations, and customer usage patterns continue to evolve.
Byhalia.net reserves the right to modify its network-management practices when reasonably necessary to maintain or improve network reliability, security, performance, efficiency, or legal compliance.
Material changes to this Open Internet Policy will be reflected on this page as appropriate.
